3 Tips For Blogging

By Sean McKee

I was searching around for information on blogging and came across a couple ides, 3 Tips For Blogging, that you should keep in mind when you’re blogging.  First, when you blog you will have times when you want to write your content to rank for SEO purposes.  When you do this you run the risk of creating bad or boring content because you are not writing with your readers in mind thus defeating your purpose.   You should always blog with your readers in mind and remain “free” in your writings and thought process as you blog.

Below are some tips you can follow to help you stay true to your readers while blogging.

Make a list of keywords.  You probably find yourself making lists for many different things like, grocery shopping, to do lists, honey do lists, lists of errands you need to run etc.  So, what you should also do is keep a list of keywords by your side as you blog.  As you write in the keywords to your content you can check them off your list.  This will help you stay focused on writing great content for your readers and  keep yourself from focusing on the keywords.

Make sure you write for your readers first and search engines second. People are reading your blog because of the unique content you provide.  You are building a “community” with your blog and people come back because they have a relationship with you.   If you are always writing to rank in the search engines you will not develop a huge following, which is what you want.  So, the point is, don’t focus on keyword factors such as keyword density and continues mentions in every paragraph.

Avoid putting weird keywords in your posts.  If you’re constantly trying to insert keywords into your posts it will stand out as completely out of place.  For example, if you’re trying to rank for dog training in Ohio, you wouldn’t put in a long tail keyword like, dog training Ohio in the body of the post.  What you should do is place it in the bi-line or resource box.  For example; “This blog post is brought to you by “Dog Trainers of Ohio”.  Or you could say; “Looking for a dog trainer in Ohio”.  As you can see you want to keep your blog posts natural and free flowing.  Don’t get weird and start throwing in keywords outta know where.  I think you get the point.

Blog on a regular basis.  It is important that you blog on a regular basis so the search engines will give you a higher ranking.  Google, which is the largest search engine, wants to give their readers a great experience when they use Google.  So, Google crawls the web looking for new content.  Google looks for content that is relevant to what you say your site is about and they look for regular additions and updates to your blog.  It’s best to commit to blogging on a daily basis for the most success.

So, now you have just a few tips to keep in mind as you blog.  Be sure to look up and research the web for more tips.  Also, make sure you sign up for my mailing list and receive my latest tips and strategies for working online.
